Als je een tweedehands auto met automaat op het oog hebt, realiseer je dan dat een automaat complexer is dan een handgeschakelde versnellingsbak. Dat betekent, dat reparaties over het algemeen kostbaarder zijn dan bij de traditionele handbak. In de regel gaat een automaat lang mee. Toch is het slim om extra bedacht te zijn op hoe de versnellingsbak zich gedraagt tijdens het rijden. Let op de volgende punten:
- Schakelt de automaat soepel en zonder schokken? Als het om een oudere auto gaat, zal de automaat altijd wat minder verfijnd aanvoelen, Toch moet het wisselen tussen verzetten zonder bokken gebeuren.
- Maakt de automaat geen rare bijgeluiden? Zoemende, bonkende en andere opvallende bijgeluiden kunnen een teken zijn van een (prijzig) defect.
- Slipt de automaat? Als het voelt alsof de koppeling (te) langzaam opkomt bij het wegrijden of doorschakelen, is er een goede kans dat de koppelingsplaat aan vervanging toe is.
Tweedehands auto met automaat kopen: ruime keuze
Waar je een kwart eeuw geleden nog werd uitgelachen als je niet zelf schakelde, is de auto met automaat tegenwoordig gemeengoed. Een tweedehands auto met automaat is dan ook eenvoudig te vinden. Zet het zoekfilter ?Transmissie? op ?Automaat? en je hebt keuze uit ruim 150.000 occasions. Maar welke past er bij jou?Tweedehands kleine auto met automaat
Autorijden wordt alleen maar duurder en dus zijn de relatief goedkopere auto?s in trek. Vandaar dat veel mensen zoeken naar een tweedehands kleine auto met automaat. Zo?n kleintje is relatief goedkoop in verbruik, belasting en verzekeringen, terwijl je zonder te roeren door het verkeer zoeft. Maar wat is nou de beste kleine auto met automaat? Dat hangt helemaal af van je eigen voorkeur. Zet het zoekfilter ?Carrosserie? op ?Hatchback? en kijk wat er tussen het ruime aanbod staat.Tweedehands auto met automaat op benzine, diesel of elektriciteit
Het makkelijkst vind je een tweedehands auto met automaat op benzine. De benzineauto is nu eenmaal nog steeds het populairst. Maak voor wie veel kilometers maakt, kan diesel gunstiger uitpakken. Rijd je vooral korte stukken en kun je eenvoudig opladen, dan is elektrisch rijden zelfs nog een optie voor je. Je betaalt dan (voorlopig nog) geen wegenbelasting en opladen is goedkoper dan tanken.Tweedehands auto met automaat en hoge instap
Zeker als je het lastig vindt om in en uit een lage auto te stappen, is een tweedehands auto met automaat en hoge instap fijn. Maar ook als je gewoon graag overzicht over het verkeer hebt of valt voor de stoere looks van een SUV, kun je vallen voor dit type auto met automaat. Geen behoefte aan een SUV? Ook de MPV heeft een hogere instap.Goedkope auto met automaat
Geld besparen en toch niet zelf schakelen is mogelijk. Ook een goedkope auto met automaat behoort tot de mogelijkheden. Bedenk wel dat wat je bespaart in aanschaf terug kan komen in de maandelijkse kosten: oude auto?s hebben vaker behoefte aan een garagebezoekje en een oude auto met automaat is vaak niet de zuinigste. Als je daarmee rekening houdt, kun je alsnog gewoon een auto met automaat kopen op een beperkt budget.Verschillende soorten automaten
Buiten de verschillende soorten auto met automaat, is er ook groot verschil tussen de soorten automaat. We onderscheiden de volgende types:- Automaat met koppelomvormer: dit is de meest gebruikte automaat. De koppelomvormer zorgt dat je kunt stilstaan zonder een koppeling te hoeven intrappen. Ook heb je extra kracht bij het wegrijden vanuit stilstand.
- Automaat met dubbele koppeling: waar een standaard automaat met één koppeling werkt, heeft deze er twee ? één voor de even en één voor de oneven versnellingen. De uitkomst is een technisch complexe, maar buitengewoon snel schakelende versnellingsbak.
- CVT: de Continu Variabele Transmissie (CVT) werd ontwikkeld door de Nederlandse DAF-oprichter Hub van Doorne. De CVT is traploos en kan daardoor op elk moment de juiste verhouding bieden waardoor de motor optimaal werkt. Ondanks de soepele rijbeleving vindt lang niet iedere automobilist de CVT prettig.
- Gerobotiseerde handbak: in principe is dit type automaat een handgeschakelde versnellingsbak zonder koppeling. Hoewel ze vaak niet de meest verfijnde ervaring bieden, zijn deze automaten vaak een uitkomst voor mensen die voor relatief weinig geld zonder koppelingspedaal willen of moeten rijden.
